I have to put my 2 cents in. I sincerely wish I'd done more research before I bought this unit. Instead, I went to a local appliance store where I've done business for years. I bought a new fridge and freezer at the same time, and chose Frigidaire for both because of their so-called good reputation.There was nothing wrong with our old freezer (25 years) other than it wasn't frost free, and my wife was tired of defrosting it, hence the new frost free unit. The unit worked great. Couldn't be happier. Until.. after 5 months, my son was awakened to the alarm. It had quit working. Wasn't happy, but these things Do happen. Called the number on the freezer, and was told they'd send someone out. However, being as we live out in the country, they only send someone out once a week. Wasn't real happy about that but what can you do? So the driver finally gets there days later, and diagnoses it needing the electronic control module. Which of course... he doesn't have on... The other day I accidently didn't close one all the way and it beeped to let me know something was wrong - good feature. We'll buy another when needed.
